Rest easy during time off in comfortable weekend wear by DIESEL, Reigning Champ, Paul & Shark, Moncler, Canada Goose and JOOP!

The denim jacket is making a big come-back this season (did it ever really go away?). DIESEL’s classic version is the ideal companion piece for a pair of the company’s iconic Jogg Jeans, described by many men as the most comfortable trousers they own. Add a pop of colour with a neon yellow, logo-laden cotton hoodie.

Reigning Champ

The Vancouver-based company has been around for more than a decade now, but Reigning Champ’s premium athletic wear is resolutely contemporary – and it’s all made in Canada. This glossy nylon baseball jacket, with interior pockets and poppers down the front, is a little more substantial than it looks.

Paul & Shark

There’s still an echo of the sailing world in Paul & Shark’s current athleisure collection, especially in the white hoodie with its reflective details and trim silhouette. Sportswear this cool spans the elements as well as generations.

Moncler has come a long way from puffy parkas on Alpine ski slopes. Here’s a spring jacket in lightly quilted matte nylon with side-entry pockets and a drawstring to cinch the waist a little, should the idea occur. The tonal company logo on the sleeve is minimal – unlike the red logo on the collar of the striped mock-neck knit or the outsized red, white and blue design on the front of the baseball cap.

Canada Goose

The Goose doesn’t only fly in the wintertime: its lightweight Nanaimo raincoat is ideal for spring and summer. Fully waterproof, it offers protection against heavy downpours and harsh winds, with zippered pockets and a peaked hood you can cinch snugly around your face. A drop-down reflective panel on the back helps keep you safe at twilight.

Here’s a lesson in smart casual dressing – put three or four very casual components together to create a modern statement. Even without the nylon bomber, that houndstooth vest and crisp white band-collar shirt look polished, while the grey washed jeans are an original alternative to blue.
