When it comes to getting dressed, accessories are often treated as an afterthought – a nice-to-have, but not necessarily essential. And to that idea, it’s safe to say we disagree.
In fact, the right accessories will always elevate your outfit to new heights. These are our six must-have pieces and why they’ll help you upgrade your get-up.
Belts
As far as belts go, both form and function come into play as you’ll want yours to not only keep your pants in place but do it with style, too. Try your best to match the colour – and ideally the material – of your belt to your shoes for the day and you’re off to the races. Another tip; belt buckles with rounded edges will typically work with both formal and casual outfits.
Hats
Everyone needs a hat they can rely on. Come rain or come shine, a cap with an extended brim will keep your face protected from the elements.
