Canada Goose Takes Flight With New Knitwear Collection
The iconic company has embarked on a fresh adventure with its new line of sweaters.
Canada Goose turns 60 this year and, as one iconic Canadian success story to another, we’d like to offer our heartfelt congratulations. To mark this special occasion, the iconic company has embarked on a fresh adventure with its new line of knitwear.
Canada Goose’s sweaters are designed in Canada but made in Italy withpremium merino wool. The innovative collection uses the same thermal mapping technology that makes its parkas so warm – but in reverse, weaving different stitch patterns to increase breathability over hot spots like the back of the neck and under the arms. “We're known for warmth – we're known for function – and our knitwear provides all of those attributes,” says Dani Reiss, Chief Executive Officer of Canada Goose.
Supremely comfortable, the knits come in a variety of styles including hoodies and crewneck, V-neck and full-zip sweaters. Colours range from black, navy and iron grey to green spruce and North Star white. One of the highlights of the line is the HyBridge Knit jacket which bridges the gap between a knit and a coat. The front is quilted with lightweight down while the back, arms and stand-up collar are a heavy-gauge woollen knit.
“Being Canadian, knitwear was the natural next step for the brand. Sweaters are the perfect transitional piece during the fall season. They’re also a stylish and insulating layer to wear under your parka in the winter,” explains our buyer Charles Lapointe. “What really stands out is the line’s unparalleled quality. Canada Goose was wise in reaching to Italy for their craftsmanship, as we all know they have the best resources for yarns and knitting techniques.”
The men’s sweaters are exclusively available at Harry Rosen’s Bloor Street West store in Toronto and online.
