L.A. Style

LA Style_image.jpg

Here’s the summer’s most laid-back weekend look, inspired by life in L.A.

Start with some great T-shirts from Sol Angeles, a small L.A. based company that specializes in soft-washed tees printed with blurred surf and ocean motifs or cool pop-culture references. Harry Rosen has dozens of different ones with a crewneck or V-neck. Now add some denim. Washed and distressed jeans are making a major comeback this season but we prefer the ones that look authentically lived-in rather than machine-aged, the way AG and Nudie do it. And they have to be truly comfortable, too, with some stretch in the fabric – a trademark of jeans from 34 Heritage and Paige. The latest fit tapers slightly between the knee and the ankle so you can show off your pristine white sneakers – clean, crisp, understated and made of supple leather.
