For the past 21 years, Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) & University of British Columbia (UBC) Hospital Foundation has been honoured to produce a first-class charity golf event – Tournament for Life – raising over $3.4 million to advance prostate cancer research and care. This premier tournament at the prestigious Point Grey Golf & Country Club always delivers a day of exceptional hospitality, gourmet food, an exciting live auction, and of course, outstanding golf! And this year’s event, hosted on June 12, was no exception.

Harry Rosen was proud to be the title sponsor of the tournament as countless business and community leaders stepped-up to show their valuable support. Thanks to the efforts of many, we reached our goal and raised more than $650,000 to benefit the Vancouver Prostate Centre. These much-needed funds will help improve the odds for the 3,600 men across BC diagnosed with prostate cancer this year.

“As Canada’s leading quality menswear retailer prostate cancer is very near and dear to us,” says Wes Purdie, Harry Rosen Managing Director. “As such, we consider it an honour, and in fact our responsibility to help raise funds and awareness to help conquer Prostate Cancer by supporting vital initiatives to transform health care for all British Columbians such as this.”

Our sincere thanks to all the sponsors, donors, volunteers, golfers and committee members who helped to make this event such a tremendous success.
